
A long time ago I had to come to terms with the fact that I am long waisted and have short legs, yep, that’s me. And while I have always loved the look and flow of long legs, that’s not the hand I have been dealt. Or is it?
There are many ways to create the illusion of long legs – by extending your the line of your legs.
You can do this a couple of ways:
- You can match the color of your shoes to the color of your pants. This works best if your shoes have a little lift to them and ideally are a pointier toe.
- Look for pants that are wide at the bottom. There are a couple of popular cuts that are making a resurgence right now, which will make them easier to find. These include flare, bell or baby bell bottoms, wide leg, trouser cut, or sailor. Basically, if the leg isn’t skinny, straight or tapered – it will help to make your legs look longer.
- And finally, find yourself a pair of comfortable heals (yes the higher the better – as long as you can walk in them.)
