Part 2: Trying out ‘Rent the Runway’

Here I share a couple of the actual looks – as well as some my thoughts on what I received.

As I mentioned in my last post, the process of selecting the clothes to rent, is a bit overwhelming, which was further complicated by the up and down temperatures we experienced in North Carolina the last few weeks.

Anyway, here is what I selected for my first shipment:

The denim skirt was awesome. I would consider incorporating Joe’s Jeans into my preferred Brands.

The tie front turtleneck was a complete miss – way too short, I didn’t even bother with trying to style it.

The satin skirt was flattering and worked with a couple of items in my closet.

The jacket was simply awful. It arrived extremely wrinkled and was way too big for me – not worth trying to style.

And finally, the dress. I loved the simplicity of this dress, but the color couldn’t have looked more off against my complexion. Which is kind of strange, since I have other clothes in rose or blush in my closet that do work for me. So maybe it was just too much of this color?
